Sidhu clarifies on ‘controversial’ statement on Pulwama attack

Date:

Ludhiana, February 16: Punjab Cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has clarified on alleged controversial statement on Pulwama terror attack in which 44 CRPF personnel were killed.

Sidhu claimed that his statement was distorted by a section of media whereas the truth is that he has strongly condemned the terror attack. He termed the attack on the convoy of the Indian security personnel near Srinagar as a cowardly act orchestrated from across the border.

Before leaving for village Galoti in Moga district to extend condolences and sympathies with the bereaved family of the martyr Jaimal Singh, the firebrand Congress leader said that some TV Channels have deliberately aired his statement partially.

Not only this, Sidhu added that he has also expressed his apprehensions about the future of Kartarpur Corridor in the wake of dastardly terror attack.

He was here to announce the industrial city’s development projects worth about Rs 500 crore.

Commenting on the social media message about his alleged expulsion from the popular Kapil Sharma Show, he clarified that he had no idea about this development as he was yet to hear from the comedy show’s producers or any other competent person associated with it.
