SAD President Simranjit Singh Mann organised Miri Piri Shaheedi Conference

Date:

Fatehgarh Sahib, December 26: Defying the Akal Takht Jathedar’s appeal against holding political conferences at the Shaheedi Jor Mela at Fatehgarh Sahib, SAD (A) president Simranjit Singh Mann organised Miri Piri Shaheedi Conference.

Lashing out at the Congress, SAD, various Sikh organisations and the Akal Takht Jathedar, Mann said, “The present rulers are committing atrocities on Sikhs as did Mughal emperors on our Sahibzade. Guru has given us the principle of ‘Miri and Piri’ that means our religion and politics run together and SAD (A) will stand by it.”

He alleged that Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh announced to ban the political conference under pressure so that SAD (A) could not become politically strong. He said as Sikhs hate the Congress for Operation Bluestar and Badals for disrespect to Guru Granth Sahib, SAD (A) was the only choice and both connived to ban political conferences.

He also lashed out at the Panthic Committee, Sikh Student Federation, Akhand Kirtani Jatha, Damdami Taksal, Sikh for Justice, SSF Gill, Dhadhis, Ragis and other Sikh organisations for not voting in favour of SAD (A) candidates, who had been struggling with the motive for a separate Sikh state. He criticised RSS head Mohan Bhagwat for terming all Sikhs as Hindus.
