Rural Development Minister hands appointment letters to BDPOs

Chandigarh, February 6: The Rural Development & Panchayat Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa handed over appointment letters to the newly recruited 12 Block Development & Panchayat Officers in the presence of FCD Seema Jain.

These newly appointed officers have been selected through a joint Punjab Civil Services exam conducted by the Punjab Civil Services, Patiala.

Officers should adopt new technologies to bring transparency in development works of villages: Tript Bajwa

Congratulating the newly appointed officer the Minister said that these young officers should fully utilise the new technologies which were being implemented by the Department to bring transparency in the development of villages.

He said that the department has launched online system to keep a check on the ongoing development works of villages, therefore these officers should upload correct information on this system so that every single penny could be spent in real sense for the development works.

Bajwa also called the officers to come up with new innovative ideas and techniques for the development of works of villages to make model villages. He further said that the department has launched mix of Seechewal and Thapar model for the cleaning of ponds and using this water for irrigation purposes, the new officers should aware and motivate the villagers to adopt these models.

Block and Panchayat officers who got appointment letters included Gultaj Kaur, Mehakmeet Singh, Umesh Goel, Satishwar Singh Dhillon, Rakesh, Pawanpreet Kaur Sohal, Silloni Uppal, Prabhjit Singh, Nikhil Singla, Sidharth Attari, Sumrita and Ishan Chaudhary.

Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included Seema Jain FCD, DS Mangat JDC, Raminder Kaur Buttar Additional Director, Avtar Singh Bhullar and other senior officers of the department.
