Every concern of farmers regarding Delhi-Katra Expressway will be resolved amicably: Vijay Inder Singla

A three member High Level Committee constituted by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to address the objections raised by the farmers regarding the acquisition of land for the Delhi-Katra Expressway Project, on Friday, met under the chairmanship of Public Works Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla and interacted with the farmers of about 15 districts in a very cordial atmosphere.

In a meeting with farmers, here at Punjab Bhawan, Cabinet Minister Vijay Inder Singla assured the farmers that their legitimate demands would be resolved on a priority. During the marathon meeting held in a very conducive atmosphere, the three member committee had various discussions with the farmers of different districts and noted their objections.

Giving details of the meeting, the PWD Minister Mr. Singla said that the farmers had lodged their objections before the committee, which would further be submitted to the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. He said that the Capt. government was committed to address the demands and grievances of the farmers.

Apart from Singla, the Chairman of the committee, members Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Finance Commissioner Revenue and Rehabilitation Mr. Viswajeet Khanna and Special Secretary Agriculture Mr. Harish Nayyar attended the meeting as a representative of the third member, Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner Development Mr. Anirudh Tewari.
