Education Department directs school heads to ensure student participation on the International Yoga Day

The Punjab School Education Department has directed the school heads to ensure the participation of the students on the occasion of International Yoga Day.

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the School Education Department said that the 7th International Yoga Day is being observed on 21st June 2021 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. According to the spokesperson, the aim is to motivate people to practice yoga while sitting at home. According to the spokesperson, yoga helps in preventing various diseases. It contributes to the physical, mental and emotional well-being of a human being. Therefore, school heads have been instructed to ensure the participation of school children on the occasion of Yoga Day so that the students can become physically and mentally healthy.
