Divya Dutta as ‘Maa’: The making behind extraordinary Punjabi cinema in theatres on 6th May

| 23rd APRIL 2022 | While the trailer of Gippy Grewal’s much-awaited film, ‘Maa’ is garnering huge attention, the behind-the-scenes of the film have been revealed and one can see how Divya Dutta transformed herself into ‘Maa’. The Humble Motion Pictures presentation is scheduled to release worldwide on Mother’s Day weekend, 6th May 2022.

The versatile actress of the Indian Cinema, Divya Dutta is portraying the main character in the film, a mother around whom the story revolves says she enjoyed playing the character and shooting, “After a long time I am doing a Punjabi film and it’s been an amazing experience. I always love doing Punjabi films and this project has a special place in my heart.”

As fans can see, behind the scenes are filled with merry times as Gippy and the director, Baljit Singh Deo crack jokes with each other. At one time, Gippy gags about his movie-making skills with the director. Baljit Singh Deo lets us know about his experience, “I could not think of a better cast to portray such characters with a lot of depth. While working with them, one can know how experienced actors like Divya Dutta, Gippy Grewal, and all the others are. They understand how thoughtful the storyline is and performed exceptionally well.”

Though the actors created a jovial mode of shooting off-screen, however, as far as the trailer goes, the cast has put their heart and soul into representing such a sentimental and benign subject of motherhood. Divya Dutta, Gippy Grewal, and Babbal Rai are seen improvising their shots according to the storyline giving an idea of how experienced these actors are in their work. The story will be interesting to watch in theatres on 6th May 2022.
