Congress leaders tear into Bikram Majithia for controversial comment denigrating women

Date:

Chandigarh, July 7:

Tearing into Akali leader Bikram Majithia for his controversial comment denigrating women, the Congress leaders today said that the ex minister seems to have completely lost his mental balance which shows from his unparliamentary comments against women out of sheer frustration.

In a press communique, the Cabinet Ministers Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Balbir Singh Sidhu, Gurpreet Singh Kangar, Bharat Bhushan Ashu and MLAs Kushaldeep Singh Kiki Dhillon, Darshan Singh Brar, Barindermeet Singh Pahra, Kulbir Singh Zira, Dr. Harjot Kamal, Sukhjit Singh Lohgarh and Pritam Singh Kotbhai said that Majithia has now become a living example of degrading moral values and has heaped insults upon women. The leaders further said that in his eagerness to brand Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as the ‘B’ team of the Congress, Majithia stooped so low as to use the most filthy language against the Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

The Congress leaders added that this is not an affront to Congress leader but of all women. They dared the women leaders of the akali dal to clarify whether they stand in support of such comments of the most malicious nature against a woman just because of political compulsions.

The Congress ministers and the legislators also elaborated that Majithia has crossed all limits of decency. They further divulged that the Akali Patriarch Parkash Singh Badal is already unhappy with the display of such sheer absurdity by Majithia. The Congress leaders also thundered that observance of the norms of decency cannot be expected from a person who has gone so far as to denigrate Gurbani. The Congress leaders also demanded the Akali Dal President to tender an apology on the issue.
