Centre concedes Capt Amarinder’s demand; team to visit Punjab too

Chandigarh , August 24: Responding to the request of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Union Home Ministry has decided to send a central team to assess the damage and loss due to floods in the state.

A senior officer of the government disclosed that Union Home Secretary, Mr Ajay Bhalla, on Saturday evening, informed the Punjab government that a Central team to assess damage on account of floods would also be sent to Punjab.
