Asian Games 2018: Wrestler Bajrang Punia Dedicates His Gold Medal To Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Wrestler Bajrang Punia, who won gold medal in the men’s freestyle 65 kg category at the Asian Games has dedicated his medal to the former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee who passed away on August 16.

Bajrang clinched the gold medal defeating the Japanese wrestler Daichi Takatani by 11-8 and gave India its first gold at 18th Asian Games in Jakarta “I dedicate my Asian Games gold medal to late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee,” Bajrang tweeted after his win.

Earlier in 2014, Bajrang had won the gold medal at Asian Games in the 61 kg category.
