Two more “Math Parks” to come up to motivate children for math subject

Barnala, 11 November 201 7: (APS Brar) For the benefit of students and introducing innovative techniques in teaching, Deputy Commissioner Mr Ghanshyam Thori today stated that two “Math Parks” would be developed in two schools of the city. These Math Parks would be developed with the assistance of NGOs and social organisations at Government Senior Secondary School (Boys) and Government Senior Secondary School (Girls) in Barnala city.

Mr Thori informed this while visiting the site where these parks are to be developed today. He also issued directions to officials to start the work on these Math Parks at the earliest.

The Deputy Commissioner said that there is a need to introduce such innovative techniques in teaching. He said that such parks would be developed and replicated in other schools of the district as well.

On this occasion, Mr Thori also honoured the winners of competitions organised on the occasion of Gurpurab at Government Senior Secondary School (Girls). He said that the District Administration is constantly making efforts to uplift the standard of education in Government Schools. He said that with the construction of the Math Parks at Government Senior Secondary School (Girls) and Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), it would help the students in understanding Mathematics in a better and easy way.

He informed that one such park has already been developed at Government Senior Secondary School (Boys) at Tapa town, where the students are being taught in an innovative way. He said the second such park at Tapa would be coming up at Government Senior Secondary School (Girls) in Tapa that has been sponsored by councillor from ward number 9, Mr Anil Kumar
