Lookout circular against senior SAD leader Dyal Singh Kolianwali

Date:

Muktsar, July 17: The Vigilance Bureau has issued a lookout circular against senior SAD leader Dyal Singh Kolianwali, a former member of the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) and ex-chairman of the Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation, who was booked on July 1 for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Bhupinder Singh, SP, Vigilance, Bathinda, said, “The lookout circular issued against Kolianwali has been forwarded to airports. Now, if he tries to go abroad, the authorities concerned will inform us.”

The vigilance had registered an FIR stating that Kolianwali’s expenditure was 71 per cent higher than his income from 2009 to 2014. Kolianwali, a former executive member of the SGPC, has held various positions in the SAD-BJP government during this period. He has shown total income of Rs 2.39 crore, but allegedly spent Rs 4.1 crore on movable and immovable properties, as per the FIR. However, Kolianwali has dubbed the case as political vendetta and claimed innocence.

Last year, the Malout police had booked Kolianwali, his son, nephew and two others in an attempt to murder case.

The FIR was lodged a day after four Congressmen and nine others had been booked for an alleged bid to kill his son.
