Removal of illegal buses ordered, RTA to submit ATR within 10 days

Chandigarh, June 7: Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has ordered removal of all illegal buses plying on roads in the state, giving the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) and vigilance department 10 days to submit an action-taken report.

The directions came at the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday when some of the ministers raised the issue. He said that officials found guilty would face punishment.

The CM also directed the vigilance department to identify such operators and take action against them. He also called for expediting the transport policy.
