Five injured in firing incident over old enmity between two groups

Guruharsahai, January 10, 2018:  The situation became tense with the spread of the news of firing incident in the village Betu Qadim near Guruharsahai in which five persons including one woman were injured.

As per the information, the injured woman was coming out of the house of the Sarpanch after filling up the form for the allotment of five marlas plot when one injured School Van driver had come there.

Further sources said, a dispute was going between Dhawan and Khullar families of the village since long and they were seen on many occasions standing against each other.  Last night, both had the hot exchange of words over the social media.  It took a great turn when persons of Dhawan’s family fired from the roof of their house in which Satpal Khullar, Ravinder Khullar alias Baboo, Rajesh Khullar alias Rammu, Bharat Bhushan Sonu Van driver and Darshan who was passing at the time of the incident were injured.  The woman belongs to Brahamin family and wanted to get a five marla plot being economically weaker/

The injured were admitted to the Mamdot civil hospital from where they were referred to Faridkot, as per the last information.

Talking to SSP Ferozepur, Bhupinder Singh Sidhu said the people have lost the patience and are never willing to solve the issues while sitting across the table.  A case has been registered and the police team have started investigation besides nabbing the accused.
