Employees rally on April 30 at Delhi seeking revival of old pension scheme

Date:

Ferozepur, April 26, 2018:  Contributory Provident Fund – CPF Employees Union will hold a massive rally at Ram Lila Ground, New Delhi on April 30, to be attended by the representatives of various unions from all over the country, to protest for seeking revival of the old pension scheme.

Jagroop Singh, State President alleged that the new contributory pension fund – CPF – scheme that they had been covered was not in their favour for the employees who were recruited after January 1, 2004.  The government had discontinued the old scheme of the GPF for the employees who were recruited after this date and introduced the new CPF scheme.

He said employees working in various government establishments are being contacted for participation in good numbers in the massive rally.

He said the government is not serious on this issue as it is not ready to discuss the matter across the table.

The prime period of the life is given to the government and pension is the only social security after retirement in old age but this right has been snatched from the employees by the government when there is a need to revive the old pension scheme, he added.
