Cong nominee Hardev Singh Ladi Sherowalia files plaint against SHO

Date:

Jalandhar, May 7: A day after Mehatpur SHO lodged an FIR against the Shahkot Congress candidate Hardev Singh Ladi Sherowalia over illegal mining charge, the latter on Sunday filed a cross-complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer.

Ladi has demanded a probe to verify the truth concerning CCTV footage, which as per TV channel reports, claims SHO Parminder Singh Bajwa was putting up in a five-star hotel in Jalandhar on May 3 and till mid night on May 4, hours before lodging the FIR.

The Congress leader alleged: “His presence at the hotel has direct bearing on the matter. The truth must be revealed since attempts have been made to be malign my image ahead of the bypoll. The official concerned should be replaced immediately.

”Naunihal Singh, IG, Jalandhar Range, said: “I have received information of such news circulating, but so far we haven’t received any official confirmation or complaint.” Bajwa told

“My staying at the hotel has nothing to do with the FIR, which was lodged on a public complaint. I have only mentioned that action against the said person shall be initiated if the complaints are found true.”
