We are making list of Cong-friendly officers: Sukhbir Badal

Date:

Gurdaspur, July 29: Sukhbir Badal, SAD president, claimed that his party was in the process of preparing a list of officers who were acting at the behest of Congress legislators and were booking his party workers in false cases.
Addressing meetings in the Qadian Assembly segment, Sukhbir alleged that many bureaucrats and police officers were hand in glove with ruling party MLAs.

“I have concrete information that in Dera Baba Nanak and Qadian, police officers are registering false cases just to appease their political masters. Such officers will not be spared. I am warning them to either go by the book or be ready to face the music. I dare these officers to register a case against me,” he said.
Sukhbir’s allegations were refuted by Dera Baba Nanak Congress MLA Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa.
“I challenge Sukhbir to bring on record even a single case in my constituency where SAD workers have been victimised. Police records show that there is not a single case registered against Akali workers. Sukhbir has also claimed that five-marla houses allotted to the poor during the SAD rule were demolished at my insistence. He is making wild statements,” said Randhawa.
Sukhbir took on Capt Amarinder by claiming that the CM had tweaked the excise policy just to favour Deepa Chadha, daughter of Paramjit Singh Sarna.
“The CM allowed a massive hike in liquor prices by changing the rules. With this decision, Chadha made a profit of a Rs 1,000 crore. I have evidence to prove this. She was actually allowed to increase prices by 70 per cent,” claimed Sukhbir Badal.
